Sealy is located at 29°46′27″N 96°9′27″W (29.774182, -96.157570).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 15.5 square miles (40 km2), of which, 13.38 square miles (34.7 km2) of it is land and 0.16 square miles (0.41 km2) is water.
Sealy is 50 miles (80 km) west of Downtown Houston.

Hispanic or Latino of any race were 30.43% of the population.
